About Shawn

Mission Statement: Shawn Deal and Shawn Deal Performance Horses are dedicated to the performance horse industry by training then showing great horses in reining, reined cowhorse and all around performance events then coaching and combining these great horses with great non pros and youth riders for a mutually beneficial showing and riding experience.

Personal Goal: It is my personal goal to continue to have and achieve great success in AQHA, NRCHA, NRHA, NSBA events nationally, regionally and locally while still having fun.

Training Bio: As a youth Shawn had great success showing nationally as well as regionally and locally in the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Youth Association. Shawn placed numerous times in the top ten at the AQHYA youth world show and many times on the high point honor roll during his youth career. Along the way Shawn had help by and from great people such as Wayne Peterson, Clark Parker, Richard Shrake, Al Dunning and Dick Pieper which continued his progression into being a horse trainer. Shawn has been a professional horse trainer since 1984. His specialty has been putting great horses with non pros and youth riders. Along the way he has been blessed to ride some really great horses such as Toma Dell, Camelot Choco, Gotta Have Cash, Cody Red Oak just to name a few. The secret to being a good horse trainer is to have great horses.
